So, i realized my make up collection and my "make up" counter (which is just the top of a shelf) was starting to grow! and seeing that i was going to a MAC make up sale this weekend, i figured i should start cleaning up some things. I headed to Wal-Mart and picked up a few things...and it turned into this...

I bought a desk organizer and bought these little trays to put in the organizer. I sorted it so that the top drawer was all brushes, lipsticks and miscellaneous (hairties, perfume, clips)

Next drawer was all the eye make up (shadows, mascaras, etc.)

Next was the face stuff (powders, lotions, and some samples).

I'm hoping to organize this a bit better though.. but at least they're all in their own little compartments!! :)

mini lush haul! finally!

I finished my lush solid conditioner and have been meaning to go back to get another one! But i wasn't quite done using up my solid shampoo bar and I wanted to go back and get a bunch of things that i've read about.. so finally, i am basically done using my 2nd solid shampoo bar which allowed me to make a trip to lush!! yay!!

So i mentioned solid shampoo and solid conditioner...well basically, it's a bar ..for your hair! you pick it up in the shower, and swipe it over your hair a few times, and then go ahead and lather up!! it's insane.. and i LOVE IT! my hair gets squeaky clean and smells amazing!! i LOVE that aromatherapy type smell... vs the perfumey types in bottles sold at drug stores.. BLEGH!

Jumping Juniper
This is the 3rd shampoo bar i've ever purchased from Lush and this one is a new one apparently.. This one in particular is meant for oily/greasy hair.. and my hair gets greasy quite fast actually... So i thought i'd give this a try.. But i do have to say that, ever since using shampoo bars, i noticed that my hair actually doesn't get that greasy too fast! Could be from using the other ones...I'm excited to see what this one smells like on my hair. It's featured ingredient is Juniperberry Oil which apparently gives it it's light fruity fragrance.....NICE!

Jungle Conditioner
Now, this one I didn't buy this time...but i have purchased it in the past.. I love this a lot! It has that awesome aromatherapy smell that I am obsessed with! Same thing, you take it and swipe it over your hair.. This one feels a lot more greasier though.. when you pick it up when it's dry, you feel like you're picking up something oily and soft.. (it doesn't feel like that picking up the shampoo bar though). But nonetheless, it's great. Your hair won't lather with suds or anything...but i think that's normal.. i mean, after all, its conditioner! But anyway, just wanted to put this up because i love it!.. now, back to my purchases!!

Buffy Body Butter
This is something totally new that i wanted to try. I'm not that girly in the sense that I don't have this crazy post-shower skin routine.. The most i do is put on some toner.. i never moisturize anything!! In the winter i do though, my face gets quite dry!
So anyway, I heard about this via beauty youtube vloggers and have heard some good things about this! It's essentially solid lotion with crushed rice, almonds and some other seeds in it. How you use it is after you've finished cleaning yourself, you take the bar and you rub it all over and it will exfoliate while moisturizing! So because I never moisturize after, i thought I'd do this while in the shower :)

Tea Tree Water Toner
This is probably what i'm most excited about!!! Face toner!! I'm running out of my own toner which i thought was awesome.. and i started breaking out recently and i have these god awful pimples all over my face! So i figured, i need to get some more toner and i might as well try this one with some tea tree in it! Now, i assume this will help my break outs because tea tree oil is extremely good for your skin when it comes to acne. So i put two and two together and bought this baby. And its a spray!! It will help me not to use too many cotton pads either :) Environmentally friendly.. I'm awesome aren't i?

Veganese
this is hair conditioner. I received a small sample of it when i bought my second solid shampoo and i liked it.. The bigger bottles are like $20 bucks though.. so i bought the smaller one to try out for $10. Still pricey...but i love the quality of all their products -- and again, I'm not such a big fan of drug store products sometimes. This is a more natural type of product in my opinion. Much like other conditioners, this one doesn't lather up with a bunch of suds but i think it works amazing.. I think i'm going to be pretty cheap about this product and try not to use a large amount in my showers

So that's it.. and oh yeah! i forgot to mention, i asked them to give me a free metal tin for the body butter and he said he would give it to me.. woohoo! :) i already have a tin from the shampoos and it's so great for travelling! just a tip though, don't use them and put them in the tin right away.. they need to dry first. By having it sit in water, it dissolves this stuff super fast and that's literally money dissolving away.. big no no.. so the best thing to do (if you don't travel) is to put them on one of those wire racks.. like this:
This one's pretty nice actually...

Anyway!! that's all i bought this time around and i'm super excited to try them out.

All images are from http://www.20x200.com/ and i believe they basically sell art.., that's affordable! these cost about $20. When looking at these things, i really can't stop myself from thinking about the future. I LIVE for the day i have my own place so i can decorate it with nice artwork. I love art...too bad i don't know anything about it :)

kylie

is this normal?

they're SO red!! and they've got liek..this big white thing in the middle.. almost as if they're gonna puss.... hmm...gross.. :(

so i was at work and...some people wanted to see it in action! :) so here it is!! first one closed quite fast if you can see it.. sorry for it being out of focus... second one closed pretty slowly! i'll try and do another video..i'm hoping it eats a fly.. but too bad there aren't that many near my desk..unless i intentionally leave some banana peels out?? worth it?

Earth to Table Bread Bar

For lunch/brunch we headed to Locke Street in Hamilton (it's kind of their Main st. with little boutiques and stores!) and went to Earth to Table Bread Bar. It's sort of a mix of a bakery/restaurant that serve up sandwiches, pizzas, etc.

Jeff ordered the warm wild mushroom sandwich. The Soup + Sandwich combo is $9 and the soup of the day was a roasted corn soup. Delicious!!

I ordered the Roast Pork sandwich which had a creamy mustard and "cabbage" as well.. super yummy!! On the softest and freshest bread ever!

We also got an order of the "fully loaded" fries which depends on the day.. Today, it was fries with mushrooms, scallions, bacon, topped with a blue cheese sauce (with chunks of blue cheese).. THE BEST fries i've ever had!! This was $8... hefty price, but you get a huge order and we definitely shared it with the table!

Since the bread was amazing, i had to buy something! I bought a multigrain loaf for $5.25. Kerry and Eli's mom probably loved it more than me since she had 2 large bags full of pastries and other breads! All amazing!!

Weekend in Hamilton/Burlington

Spent the weekend in Burlington/Hamilton! Went to Burlington first for Sean's 9th birthday! We went swimming in their pool which was extremely warm! Good times! He got a Wave master!! Which is that punching/kicking thing for his birthday! What a cutie.. he was stoked!

After dinner, Anne whipped out her balloons and ballooon artist skills and went to work! It was too much fun and the bicycle one was just super outrageous!! The other one is a snake by the way :).. angle of the photo is probably not the best!

Headed to Hamilton that night and partied with Kerry and Eli of course.. and Kerry being his usual self below..

And yes, that's him sitting in a baby seat because it was too difficult to take it out of the car!!
