Today, my cousin had planned for me to go to Stanley with him and his girlfriend!!! i wasnt sure if this was the same as "stanley park" but when i asked he had no idea what "stanley park" was so .. i think it's safe to say that THIS is "stanley park"!

my cousin and Joey used Open Rice to find a neat little "dai pai dong" to eat in Stanley.. apparently one of the better rated ones... we had chinese breakfast!!! and this peanut butter ish french toast.. so yummy!!
right behind us was ANOTHER dai pai dong.. lol.. direct competitors that serve slightly different food haha!
after lunch we walked around the stanley market..
chinese stamps!! probably where i got mine when i was 10yrs old.. :) these are very traditional chinese name stamps.. always stamped in RED (witih a special ink pad) and in a square shape... HOW they fit your name in the square really boggles my mind.. much like how they write your name on a grain of rice! anyway, im glad i still have mine at home :) it's awesome!

AND COUNTING.. stupid point and shoot battery!! that night my cousin taught me how to set aperture..ISO, and shutter speed.. hmmm let me know what you think of these photos!! :) and YESSSS there's a lot of dogs!! i love dogs :)

i pass by this DOGOTEL everytime i go to my dad's.... SOOO CUTE and thers ALWAYS a dog getting a haircut..and they're ALWAYS SOOOO GOOD! and well behaved and so still!! AAHHH SOO CUTE.. and i swear they always just get the same haircut.. toooo adorable!!
So, at night, i followd my dad because we were goign to get my mom.. little did i know, we were headed to a firestation to have dinner!! it was kinda like a "family day" thing and the people my dad are staying with are really close with this one
after we reserved a spot, i went with my dad and a family friend to get my mommy!!!!
and came back for dinner.. so hungry.. so grilling my own food was NOT very appealing to me..but then after i got some food in me, it was much better... this is what they call BBQ! they put their food on these skewers and grill themselves over the fire!! extremely common since most places dont have balconies or backyards, etc. ... also, they do this more in the winter... VERY NEAT!
all the fire fighters families and they played music all night and drew prizes, etc..
Finally, this was my dad's reaction to my mom telling him that SHE RETIRED!!!! both are retired now and now i feel old to have retired parents... :(
