OUR NIGHT DIDNT STOP AFTER LKF.. went to 7/11 and picked up som more BEER.. SO CHEAP ($15 for a can.. aka less than $2... and that big tall boy bottle was about .. 17 HKD)?

Arrived in HK!!
So finally, i get to HK, Edwin and Thao had a driver pick them up from the airport, Julian took a cab and i was left alone to subway :(... BUT! super easy and brought back some good memories from my last trip to HK with jeffy last year :)
So after i got in, we immediately left to go to dinner! We took a cab to this street with a bunch of restaruants..and it was pretty ghetto... but still good! :)
I'll be uploading videos later!!
5.12.11
christmas cookies!!
i decided to kill some weekend time by making cookies.. inspired by this:
full recipe here
so i set up my dipping stations.... of red and green crystal sugar sprinkles...

took them out and they looked like this..
i bought some regular vanilla frosting..that was a bit too creamy for my liking :( shouldve read the label and shouldn't have bought the CREAMY frosting.. a bit too liquidy.. but anyway, i bought some peppermint extract and put it in the frosting.. (cookies are chocolate) to make chocolate mint cookies!!
they kind of resemble mini whoopie pies, huh?
this one was the most perfect looking one... so of course i had to test them out..
and they were sooo good!!!!!!!!! almost tempted to NOT give them away...............
but working out everyday would probably go down the drain if i did eat them all eh?
1.12.11

Food truck exploration! (Pic heavy!)
So i line up and i'm getting more and more excited!! WHAT DO I ORDER?!?!
The People’s Perogies
- Traditional - potato, cottage cheese
- Sauerkraut - potato, onion, sauerkraut
- Mexicali - ground beef, chili aioli, tomato ‘tartar’, green onion, cheddar cheese
- Duck – ground duck, saskatoon berry, chive ponzu
- Carrot Cake – dessert perogy with raisin, carrot, cream cheese, cinnamon-carmel, icing sugar
Sausages for All
- Kielbasa – traditional pork
- Tijuana Baba - pork, jalapeño, cheddar
- Knackwurst - smoked veal, pork
- Redneck - chicken, smoked chipotle, bourbon
- Cabbage Roll - beef, sauerkraut, rice, marinara sauce
Baba’s Borscht
beets, cabbage, dill, crème fraiche
Prices were okay.. about 8 perogies for $7 and a sausage was $4..
THEN! while waiting for my food, i see ANOTHER food truck pull up right behind Perogy Boyz!!! My head was about to explode here!!
These guys were called Fiasco! They sell gelato.... and SOUP! crazy combination.. as much as i wanted to try a soup, i didn't have enough cash on me :(
SO FINALLY! i recieve my food.. and i walk back to my office with it... do i take a sneak peek or do i just open it at the office?? I ended up taking a sneak peek of course....
I got an order of the Traditional perogies which is automatically topped with bacon and caramelized onions... (had no idea..-- not a big fan of bacon for those that don't know..but i won't not eat it.. so i ate it :) ) and an order of the Tijuana Baba sausage! :) served with a side of SPICY (and delicious) mustard, and sour cream!
VERDICT: of course i loved it! I love any food that comes out of a truck!! only because i've never really had anything other than fries and a hot dog from a truck... Toronto.. GET ON THIS!
